As indicated in our initial dialogue with regard to the CWSA rule development process and the CWSA recommended scoring criteria and competition guidelines, “The Board of the CWSA recognizes that these recommended criteria and guidelines are "living documents" that need revision and update as our sport continues to evolve.”  In recognition of this need for continual evolution we have reviewed the CWSA recommended scoring criteria and competition guidelines as they were implemented in the 2012 World Series of Wake Surfing and the CWSA Board has considered the necessity to provide clarifications at this time.

Based upon a majority vote of the Board Members of the CWSA we are providing the clarifications in the attachment below that will be incorporated into the 2012 World Wake Surfing Championship.  All interested competitors and wake surfing enthusiast will have the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with regard to these clarifications and all of the CWSA recommended Scoring Criteria and Competition Guidelines on Wednesday, September 26^th, in Parker, Arizona, prior to the start of competition on Thursday, September 27^th.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!
