Attached are the revised 2012 CWSA Guidelines for Competition and Scoring.  The changes are highlighted on page 4 of the document.

These changes were approved by the Board of Directors of the CWSA on 08/07/12 and will be implemented in the final two stops of the World Series of Wake Surfing as well as the World Wake Surfing Championship. The changes have been provided to clarify the scoring of duplicate tricks when performed in separate unique combinations.

Although the CWSA discourages mid-season changes to the recommended scoring criteria and guidelines, the CWSA believes this clarification/revision is necessary to avoid unintended impacts on the final rankings and podium placements at wake surf competitions utilizing the CWSA recommended scoring system.

The CWSA intends to continue the open, transparent and public dialogue in the annual rule development process for recommended guidelines for competition and judging.
