This year’s 2024 CWSA World Championship in Geneva set a new and higher standard for concluding the wake surfing season. From the opening ceremony to the closing dinner and beyond, this event was a World Championship focused on the riders and their achievements.

This was the first World Championship for wake surfing in Europe. Largest wake surf event ever held in the EMEA.

What a fantastic event and celebration of excellence of worldwide sport, with more than 100 top athletes from 19 countries qualifying based on their individual merit competing in this event! The athletes were judged by judges form 9 of the competing countries.

Truly the definition of a World Championship event.

It has been the greatest pleasure to work with our partners for this event, the GVA Wakesurf Tour and the Société Nautique de Genève. Their passion and dedication to the sport and the competing athletes has been exceptional and clear from the initial planning for the event through its successful execution.

Thank you to all the competing athletes, their families and friends for attending the event. It has been a great pleasure see you to showcase your skills, and to see the support of your crews. Congratulations to all competitors who attained a podium finish.

A big shout out to all the volunteers, and huge respect for the boat pilots, especially in the challenging conditions on Friday. To the Head Judge, Samar Sulieman, and each of you who judged this event, our gratitude and appreciation.
