Athlete Member FAQs

Do I need a membership to earn WRS points?

Yes. A current CWSA athlete membership is required for sanctioned registrations and to appear in the WRS rankings.

How do I choose my division?

Pick the division that matches your age and skill level. Divisions are standardized, so your results are comparable across events.

Can I compete in both online and in-person events?

Absolutely. Online and in-person results both earn WRS points as long as the events are CWSA-sanctioned.

What is required for online submissions?

Submit your run video and a visible placard by the entry deadline. The event page outlines exact framing and upload requirements.

When do rankings update?

After results are verified and published by the event and judges. Updates appear on the Rankings page once points are processed.

Can I change divisions mid-season?

You can request changes if your circumstances or skill level change. Consult the rules and the event organizer before registering.

Are there equipment or safety requirements?

Sanctioned events follow CWSA safety standards. Review event details and the rulebook before competing.

What happens if an event is canceled?

Organizers communicate refund or rollover policies. WRS points are awarded only for completed, published results.

Do all event levels award the same points?

Event levels (Bronze through Platinum) reflect scope and competition. Ranking points are based on who you compete against, so deeper fields typically yield higher points.

Where can I see running orders and live results?

On each event page. Running orders and results are posted as the event progresses.
