Registration opens at 00:01 (12:01 am) EDT the first day of the event. The competition run for this event will consist of a single 45 second pass. Please carefully review the rules for this event below and look at the video submission format examples to make sure your video submission is not disqualified. Please review the Riders Meeting document on the event page before submitting your video. 1. Video submission deadline April 29, 2024 at 23:00 EDT. Late submissions will not be permitted. If you register for the event and fail to submit a video and placard by the deadline, you will not be entitled to a refund. o Video submission cannot have previously been posted on any social media platform o Current – Video must be taken between March 12, 2024 at 00:01 EDT and April 29, 2024 at 23:00 EST o Video format – 1080p, shot in landscape orientation. Raw video, no edits except to append a video or still placard at the beginning of the video or before the rope drop, video speed must be 1:1. No logos or advertising. DO NOT use a third-party app to append you placard to your video, as it may insert logos or advertising, and may alter the video format. o If your run video submission is not in landscape orientation, you may be disqualified. o A video or still photo including a placard with athlete’s name, division, and date of video creation must appear at the beginning of the video. o The placard must be legible, written in English, and use the following date format: MM/DD/YYYY. o The placard may be handwritten or digital. o The video or still photo must also show the athlete’s full board including fin(s), and the athlete’s face must be visible. o It is also acceptable to submit the placard still photo or short placard video as a separate file. o See video submission format examples on the event page. o PFD required, and must be visible to the judging team. o No drop ins, tow ins or deck starts or deck exits. o Video must show rope drop behind the competition boat. o Athlete’s face must be visible in the video. o Care should be taken when filming your video that you do not film into the sun, this may result in your face not being visible in your video. Filming into the sun also makes for a very poor-quality video. o If a mask is required to be worn during wakesurfing in your national, regional, or local jurisdiction due to COVID-19 that will NOT result in a disqualification. * See Riders Meeting document on this event page to avoid being disqualified* * Submit competition run videos in LANDSCAPE orientation only!* * If you do not understand what ‘landscape’ means, send us an email* 2.
